At the core of medical sociology, there has always been a focus on health inequalities…by race, class, sexuality, ability, age, and gender. Overt discrimination of the past (though it still exists) is now built into our concept of healthcare in many ways. Using the readings, discuss the sociological argument that obesity and obesity related health issues are tied to our environment and our history.
