In preparation for our reading of Anna Deavere Smith’s Twilight Los Angeles, 1992, I would like you to watch the linked documentary, LA 92. This film gives the history of Los Angeles riots in 1992 in the wake of the Rodney King verdict. As you watch you must complete the LA 92 Note-Taking handout.
This film will be even more relevant this year in the wake of the BLM protests and riots last summer and the on-going George Floyd/Derick Chauvin trial in Minnesota.
