Watch this TedTalk. This is a great example a research topic and of a speaker (author) using ethos/pathos/logos to make an argument to specific stakeholders, just like you will be doing! This is also an example of a source (TedTalks) you can use to find your own topic.

After watching the Recorded Lecture & the TedTalk, turn in this activity as a Word doc/docx or write your submission in the text box (not the comment box). This is a graded activity.

It should include:

1. What you read/watched. i.e I read a NYT times article titled “…”

2. What it was about (a brief summary of 3-5 sentences)

3. Why you chose it/why it’s interesting to you, be specific! (1-2 sentences)

4. 2-3 possible directions you might go with your research

5. Your current draft of an inquiry question with your chosen stakeholder (or a list of potential ones)
