This Case Review is aboutthe Constitutional right of free speech and whether certain types ofspeech are protected or unprotected. That is the crux of free speech –is it constitutionally protected or is the speech such that the courtshave deemed it “not free speech” and a “compelling interest exists” toconsider this speech unprotected by the Constitution. There are threecases that form the core legal foundation of this Case Review(spoken/Frazer, written/Pico and symbolic/Tinker). As always –independent reading on all cases is encouraged so you can stand on afirm body of knowledge (Legal Research). There three parallel cases toresearch and they are included in the Application Section. You do not need to find parallel cases on your own for the U5 Case Review.
