Question Description
I need help
given the prevalence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the U.S. and around the world, this week please review two to three relevant peer-reviewed journal articles on the effects of cardiorespiratory exercise on CVD, specifically choosing either a particular type (i.e., walking, running, cycling, etc.) and/or intensity (i.e., moderate-intensity steady state, high-intensity interval training, etc.) of cardiorespiratory exercise to focus on.
In your summary, please specifically address the following items:
- What specific type and/or intensity of exercise did the studies examine?
- What were the key findings across the studies? (*please note both the similarities and the differences in the findings of each study)
- How do you feel the information provided will impact your approach to exercise prescription for individuals with CVD?
Keep in mind that the intention in this class is to develop a deeper understanding of evidence-based best practices with regards to designing and delivering exercise-related interventions for individuals with chronic diseases and health considerations.
