Every employee at AceCo is assigned to the Project Management Office (PMO) or one of the following functional departments: Operations, Marketing, IT, HR, Procurement, Customer Service, or Finance.

The PMO is made up of eight full-time project managers, all of whom report directly to the Director of the PMO. There are no other employees assigned to the PMO.

Each project manager in the PMO is always managing one or more projects. Some employees from the functional departments are assigned temporarily on a full-time or part-time basis to each project team in the Initiating phase of each project.

Each project manager seeks to assemble a team of the most talented people in the organization when assigned to a new project, as a part of his or her responsibility to make the organization to assure the project’s success.
